Board of the Quality Assurance Center

Board of the Center

The decision of the President of the University to form a board of Quality Assurance Center is issued and then approved by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees as follows:

The Board may include external members with experience in the field of quality to the Board to attend the meetings of the Board without having a counted vote.

Competencies of the Quality Assurance Center Board

The Board of the Center is the dominant authority over its affairs and the conduct of its affairs, and the development of policy that achieves its objectives, and in particular:

  1. Approving the general policies for quality assurance at the university and approving the executive programs that ensure the achievement of its objectives.
  2. Approving the evaluation and measurement system in all academic and administrative centers at the university and supervising its application through technical and sub-units.
  3. Approving the mechanism of spreading the culture of quality at the university and following up its implementation through the various units.
  4. Setting the internal system for the work of the center, determining the terms of reference and the general description of the center’s tasks.
  5. Approving the appointment of directors of quality units in the faculties of the university after their nomination by the Dean of the College.
  6. Approving the annual report of the Center and its units and submitting it to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
  7. Issuing a decision to appoint administrators and technicians in the center and its technical units based on the proposal of the director of the center.
  8. Determine the remuneration of the center’s unit managers.

Competences of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Quality Assurance Center

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Quality Assurance Center is responsible for implementing the decisions of the Council, and he has the right to exercise the following, or delegate others to exercise some of them:

  1. Inviting the Board of Directors to convene and chair its meetings.
  2. Follow up the implementation of the general policies set to achieve the objectives of the Center.
  3. Follow up the implementation of the decisions issued by the Board of Directors.
  4. Approving the budget of training programs and other programs proposed by the Director of the Center.
  5. Supervising the preparation of the estimated budget of the Center at the beginning of each year and presenting it to the Board of Directors.
  6. Issuing decisions to appoint and delegate the center’s employees to carry out its activities.
  7. Representing the center in front of others.

Specializations of the Director of the Quality Assurance Center

The Director of the Quality Assurance Center is responsible for managing the Center’s administrative and technical affairs within the framework of the general policy of the Board of Directors and its decisions, and he has the following:

  • Presenting and discussing quality issues in the University Council and official councils.
  • Other competencies delegated by the Board of Directors.
  • Representing the Center in front of others
  • Invite the Executive Council of the Center to meet and chair its sessions.
  • Managing the affairs of the Quality Assurance Center at the university and implementing the decisions of the Center’s Board of Directors.
  • Implementing the standards and requirements of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education in coordination with the deans of colleges through the quality units in the colleges.
  • Participates in supervising the required training programs that ensure the achievement of quality standards.
  • Preparing university colleges to apply for accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
  • Supervises the performance evaluation of the various activities in the faculties of the university.
  • Attending internal quality assessment committees with studying the reports of the quality committees after each visit and stating the observations contained therein with the development of procedures to avoid these observations.
  • Prepare the annual report of the Center’s activities.
  • He shall perform other similar tasks assigned to him.

Executive Board of the Quality Assurance Center

The decision of the President of the University to form the Executive Council of the Quality Assurance Center is issued and then approved by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees as follows:
