Internal and External Training Committee
Vision
To contribute to the development of a generation of Horus University graduates who possess the academic, professional, and personal skills necessary to excel in the local and international job markets, through a comprehensive training system based on effective partnerships, practical application, and continuous development.
Mission
The committee works on planning, supervising, and implementing innovative and high-quality training programs, both within and outside the university, to enhance student competencies and strengthen communication with civil society institutions and both the public and private sectors.
General Objectives
General Objectives:
- To develop a comprehensive strategy for internal and external training across the university’s faculties.
- To enhance students’ practical and professional skills to prepare them for the job market.
- To build local and international partnerships with training institutions, universities, and companies.
- To organize continuous workshops and training courses for students.
- To promote a culture of lifelong learning and professional excellence within the university.
- To monitor and evaluate the impact of training programs to ensure quality and continuous improvement.
Specialized Objectives:
- To prepare specialized training programs for each faculty that align with the job market requirements in their respective fields.
- To implement practical training programs within professional institutions, hospitals, companies, and industrial centers.
- To design programs that develop language, communication, presentation, and leadership skills for students across all faculties.
- To integrate technology and digital transformation into training programs.
- To activate summer training initiatives and field visits under the supervision of committee members.
Implementation Mechanism:
- To prepare a unified annual training plan at the university level that includes internal and external programs for each faculty.
- To designate a training coordinator in each faculty responsible for communication with the main committee and providing suggestions for training programs.
- To coordinate with external entities (training institutions, companies, hospitals, schools, research centers) to establish cooperation agreements and training partnerships.
- To implement training programs according to an approved timeline, including training during the academic semester and summer term.
- To provide accredited trainers from both within and outside the university to ensure training quality and achieve desired objectives.
Monitoring Methods:
- To conduct periodic follow-ups through meetings of the main committee and faculty coordinators to review the progress of the training plan.
- To prepare monthly follow-up reports from each faculty that include the number of programs implemented, participation rates, challenges, and suggestions.
- To conduct field visits by committee members to training sites to monitor performance and quality of implementation.
- To collect feedback from trainees through surveys to assess the benefits of the programs and identify areas for improvement.
To submit periodic reports to the Vice President of the university that summarize achievements, obstacles, and proposed solutions.
Proposed Organizational Structure
Level One (Highest): Vice President for Education and Student Affairs
- General supervision of internal and external training activities.
- Approval of plans, programs, and annual reports.
Level Two: Deans of Faculties
- Field monitoring of the implementation of training programs specific to each faculty.
- Nominating a training coordinator/representative from the faculty to communicate with the committee.
Level Three: Training Units in Each Faculty
- Preparing a training plan specific to the faculty that aligns with the university’s overall plan.
- Submitting periodic reports on the implementation of courses and activities.
- Communicating with the central committee regarding needs or suggestions.
Level Four: Central Internal and External Training Committee
- Planning and general supervision of training at the university.
- Coordinating between training units in the faculties.
- Monitoring implementation and submitting reports to the Vice President of the university.
