في إطار الشراكة العلمية بين جامعة حورس – مصر وجامعة كورنيل – الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية،
وتحت رعاية الأستاذ الدكتور إبراهيم صابر – رئيس مجلس أمناء جامعة حورس – مصر،
وبحضور كلٍ من:
الأستاذ الدكتور حسن الشناوي – عضو مجلس الأمناء،
الأستاذ الدكتور السعيد عبد الهادي – رئيس الجامعة،
الأستاذ الدكتور محمد عبد العال – نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة،
الأستاذ الدكتور ناجي عبد الهادي – أستاذ الباطنة بكلية الطب،
الأستاذ الدكتور عمرو الكارف – وكيل كلية الطب لشئون التعليم والطلاب،
والأستاذة الدكتورة سحر عبد الرحمن – مدير مكتب العلاقات الدولية بالجامعة.
استقبلت الجامعة اليوم الأستاذة الدكتورة كاثرين هيفرون من جامعة كورنيل، حيث عُقد اجتماع لمناقشة سبل التعاون الحالي والمستقبلي بين الجامعتين، والذي يشمل برامج التبادل الطلابي، وتبادل أعضاء هيئة التدريس، والمشاركة في الأبحاث العلمية المشتركة.
تم خلال اللقاء تكريم د. كاثرين هيفرون وإهداؤها درع جامعة حورس تقديرًا لجهودها في دعم التعاون الأكاديمي والعلمي بين المؤسستين.
كما ألقت د. هيفرون محاضرة علمية لطلاب كلية الطب حول الطرق الحديثة لتحضير اللقاحات باستخدام النباتات في إطار منظومة الصحة الواحدة (One Health)، أعقبها جولة داخل الجامعة للتعرف على الكليات والأنشطة الطلابية المختلفة.
وقد أعرب الأستاذ الدكتور حسن الشناوي عن سعادته بهذا التعاون المثمر بين الجامعتين،
وأشاد الأستاذ الدكتور السعيد عبد الهادي بالمحاضرة القيمة التي قدمتها د. هيفرون،
وأكد الأستاذ الدكتور محمد عبد العال على أهمية استمرار مثل هذه الشراكات الدولية الفعّالة التي تسهم في تطوير التعليم والبحث العلمي بجامعة حورس – مصر.

As part of the scientific partnership between Horus University – Egypt and Cornell University – USA,
and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Horus University – Egypt,
in the presence of:
Prof. Dr. Hassan El-Shenawy – Member of the Board of Trustees,
Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Abdel Hady – President of the University,
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal – Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development,
Prof. Dr. Nagy Abdel Hady – Professor of Internal Medicine, Faculty of Medicine,
Prof. Dr. Amr El-Karef – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs,
and Prof. Dr. Sahar Abdel Rahman – Director of the International Relations Office.
Horus University welcomed Prof. Dr. Catherine Hefferon from Cornell University, who held a meeting with the University Board to discuss current and future avenues of cooperation, including student exchange programs, faculty exchange, and joint scientific research projects.
During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hefferon was honored and presented with the Horus University Shield in appreciation of her efforts to strengthen academic and scientific collaboration between the two institutions.
She also delivered a scientific lecture to the Faculty of Medicine students on modern methods of vaccine preparation using plants, within the framework of the One Health initiative.
The visit concluded with a tour of the university, where Dr. Hefferon explored various faculties and student activities.
Prof. Dr. Hassan El-Shenawy expressed his great pleasure with this fruitful cooperation between the two universities,
Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Abdel Hady praised the valuable lecture delivered by Dr. Hefferon,
and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal emphasized the importance of continuing such active international partnerships that contribute to the advancement of education and scientific research at Horus University – Egypt.
