Administration and organization hierarchal arrangement of (IRO-HUE)

Tasks of the units of (IRO-HUE)

International supporting organizations unit

This unit performs the following tasks:

  1. This unit is concerned with following up on funding opportunities and applying for scientific projects, grants and scientific missions announced by international donors such as scientific research fund companies in different countries, DAAD, Newton-Mosharafa, Full Britt, Erasmus plus and Horizon 2020.
  2. Holding info. cessions about donors organizations, how to apply for them, and how to apply for projects before each announcement in an appropriate period.
  3. Allocating a code for each winning project with all its data (college – funding entity – funding value – project duration and the main researcher of the project) and following it up technically in order to achieve progress and continuity in obtaining support from various donors.
  4. Achieving cooperation with the International Agreements Unit to activate international agreements by applying for projects funded by various donors.
  5. Encouraging the faculty members of the university and the assisting staff in the faculties of the university to apply for those opportunities provided by donors by forming a committee to review the submitted projects and make amendments and recommendations that would raise the value of the submitted project

International Agreements Unit

This unit performs the following tasks:

  1. The unit is concerned with following up the activities of the coordinators of the various scientific agreements and preparing a consolidated official report on all the activities that took place under each international agreement.
  2. Create a database for all current international scientific agreements and develop an official code for each agreement with the identification of one coordinator for each agreement.
  3. Follow up the documentation of past, current and future agreements with the Cultural Relations Office at the university in preparation for uploading all agreements on the platform of the Ministry’s international relations offices.
  4. Determine the type of cooperation with different universities (regional, Arab or international), whether it is a memorandum of cooperation, a joint scientific contract, a capacity-building agreement or an academic exchange agreement, then each agreement is translated separately and the correct mechanisms are followed in documenting and completing the signing of such partnerships.
  5. Follow up the legal and security approvals for each agreement before presenting it to the University Council and signing it officially
  6. International agreements must be concluded with prestigious universities with a distinguished global ranking and be serious about partnership to ensure the highest common interest of the two parties to the partnership in the scientific agreements to be held within the university

International Programs and Ranking Unit

This unit performs the following tasks:

  1. This unit is concerned with following up the various classifications of the university at the Arab, regional and international levels on an ongoing basis and announcing them on the university’s page.
  2. Submitting the necessary data and documents required by the international rankings organizations and follow up the inclusion of the university in the modern classifications of each entity such as the Shanghai classification, the Matrix, the Times, QS and the different Arab classifications.
  3. Establishing joint study programs (bilateral or tripartite) at the regional and global levels by developing undergraduate or postgraduate study programs to create dual degrees with prestigious universities with distinguished international classification, including these degrees Dual degree or Joint degree. This is to stop at the latest international study methods followed and training on scientific developments in preparation for attracting Egyptian and international students wishing to obtain internationally accredited dual degrees.

Expatriates and Student Exchange Unit

This unit performs the following tasks:

  1. Implementing the university’s strategy regarding the care of expatriates and international students at the university
  2. Working to increase the number of expatriates and international students by participating in the mechanisms of the office that specialize in marketing and advertising to attract larger numbers of international students to the university 
  3. Follow-up and holding periodic meetings with international students in different colleges to work on overcoming the problems and difficulties facing them
  4. Coordination and organization of cultural and educational visits and various social activities for international students
  5. Organizing official visits for ambassadors, attachés and representatives of foreign countries.

Envoys Care Unit

This unit performs the following tasks:

  1. This unit is concerned with following up on scholarship students from undergraduate or postgraduate studies before and after travel and following up their performance abroad by submitting an annual report approved by the supervising professor to clarify the student’s performance and the number of shared researches, provided that these reports are sent to the cultural relations at the university to address the deans of the competent faculties
  2. Providing support to scholarship students by facilitating the procedures for extending the scientific license, suspending enrollment, or communicating with the concerned authorities to facilitate the completion of administrative procedures in a quick and orderly manner. The unit is also interested in following up the student scientifically and providing assistance if he needs any scientific assistance or facilities in conducting the scientific part of his thesis.
  3. Extending cooperation with the foreign university to which the envoy traveled to send other members and conclude scientific agreements and extend cooperation after the envoy’s return, provided that the envoy is the coordinator of the agreement that takes place with his university abroad.
  4. Inviting foreign professors supervising university students to attend and participate in joint international scientific conferences, exchange visits and participate in applying for joint projects for international foreign bodies to provide support and funding.
